The design of this private two-storey secondary school in Ste-Catherine, Quebec, involved a complex overview of the site and its development, as well as a degree of involvement in negotiation concerning property rights and zoning through a diverse political hierarchy.

The creative use of simple shapes and materials successfully animates the exterior volume and interior spaces, and meets the restrictions of a limited budget. The program includes 28 classrooms, 7 laboratories (science & art), a documentation centre, cafeteria, gymnasium and various office and support spaces.
